Coconut water add a natural sweetness to the coffee without any added sugar. Coffee by itself doesn’t add any nutritional value except for a lasting caffeine boost. But coconut water actually can improve your health and with the combination of coffee the nutritional value it provides is very high.

Coconut water mixed with coffee tastes rich like how coffee tastes when cream is added to it. It also gives a luxurious texture to the coffee. Coconut water has slight saltiness that makes it taste better than an entirely sweet coffee with cream.

Coconut water provides high energy that helps you to carry through your daily tasks. This is because coconut water contains medium chain fats that liver processes as energy instead of storing it as fat.

Coconut water increases metabolism. Since the energy is increases our body will be able to metabolize the fats faster and much easier. Coconut water makes you consume less because it is a natural appetite suppressant. Another added advantage of having coffee with coconut water is it can prevent kidney stones. Consuming fluids is a good cure for kidney stones. But having coconut water with coffee helps to ease up the process of decomposing the kidney stones as kidney stones is formed from calcium, oxalate and other compounds which are all formed from the free radicals that comes from energy producing inside the body. As coconut water reduces these free radicals which in turn automatically helps in reducing kidney stones. This is still a field under research but initial studies have proved that it actually is effective.

Coconut water is a very good source of hydration. It is low on calories and carbs. This means that you can drink as much as you want without worrying about getting fat.

There is no specific ratio you should follow while adding coconut water to coffee. You can use ¼ cup of coconut water with a glass of coffee or 2/4 with a glass of coffee. Or even ¾ of coffee. It doesn’t really matter since the side effects of consuming too much of coconut water is not really harmful. The worse that can happen is indigestion and it is not really recommended to have a whole bottle of coconut water with a cup of coffee which is beyond common sense.
